EXCHANGE/STORE CREDIT POLICY
If I do not have a sample of a gown that you are definitely interested in, or if the gown is a much different size, it may qualify for exchange or store credit. Most stores will gladly place an order for you for something they don't have, but then you are stuck with it if you don't like it. Call and let me explain how this policy works.

TUXEDOS
We rent tuxedos through Joe's Tux Shop and Tuxedo Junction.  You can find pictures of their tuxedos at www.mrtuxformalwear.com and www.tuxedojunction.com.  See our tuxedo page for more information.

SHOES
We dye shoes on the premises or we can order them already dyed.  Shoes can be ordered up to one week before your event; however, if they need to be dyed I would like at least 2 weeks.  I also dye dyeable shoes purchased elsewhere for $10/pair.  They must be new shoes that are specifically made to be dyed.
We do prefer that you place your order at least a month in advance to save on shipping. Larger orders qualify for a discount.

FINANCING
A 6-month layaway plan may be available.  LAYAWAYS ARE NOT HOLDS.  Layaways are commitments to purchase the item by making 6 monthly payments.  There is no interest, but late payment fees are charged.  Layaways may be exchanged for the same type of item, but no refunds will be given of any of the payments.
Orders require at least 50% down with the remainder paid no later than 1 week after the item arrives at the store.

ALTERATIONS 
95% of all gowns need alterations of some sort.  Very few people are the same size in the bust, waist, and hips at the same time.  Also, height varies greatly.  We do not include alteration costs in the price of the gowns.  This allows you to choose your seamstress.  We also do not have package deals for alterations because this would cause some people to pay more than necessary, and others would get away with paying much less than the job is worth.  Alterations are not free unless it is specifically written on the contract.   We do occassionally run specials that include some free alteration work.

We do have a  very experienced seamstress connected with our store, and her charges are very reasonable.  Most bridesmaid and mother's gowns are altered for between $40 and $75.  Bridal gowns average around $100.  Alterations do not have to be done through our store.  Fleming's Bridal Elegance is not responsible for alteration error unless it is done by an employee of Fleming's Bridal Elegance.  Contractors, such as Patty Ward, are NOT employees.  Alteration problems should be taken up with them. 
Fittings are done by the seamstress at the store  by appointment only.  She is in the store most Tuesday evenings from 5-8pm.  Fittings can also be done at other agreed times or at her shop by contacting Patty Ward at (724)254-1599.   Fittings that only include basic alterations can be done at the store by Linda during her regular work hours  for a $5 fee.  This fee will be waved if the item was purchased in the store.  Please call to make sure she will be in and available.

Formal items purchased in other stores may be brought to the store for alterations by our seamstress if she feels she has the time.  A $5-$10 fitting fee will be charged in addition to the alteration cost.
A rush fee may be charged for items that need to be done in less than 2 weeks. 

STEAMING
We will do one free steaming on any gown purchased except  items that have been discounted by 50% or more.  This is usually done prior to final pick-up.  Please notify us a week before you want to have the steaming done.

ORDERS
Orders are welcomed. A minimum deposit of 60% of the original retail price plus any additional rush or special cut fees must be placed before the item is ordered. Deposits are non-refundable in cash for any reason.  Bridal and mothers sometimes can be ordered on an exchange basis.  Ask for details.

Orders for individual items are placed after a 3-day waiting period.  Group orders are ordered when the entire group has paid their deposits.  Once the item has been ordered, the purchaser is required to pay the entire cost.  Exchanges or store credit may be allowed on an individualized basis. 
The only reason for a cash refund will be a wrong item.  A wrong item is a different item or damaged item that cannot be reordered in time for the occasion. No refunds will be made due to "wrong"  sizes.  Sizes are determined by the measurements at the time of order.  A size is chosen by taking into account the size of the bust, waist, and hips as well as the construction of the gown. 
If there is evidence that Fleming's Bridal Elegance chose the wrong size based on the original measurements, we will alter the dress for free, but we will not pay for alterations done by someone else. If the gown absolutely cannot be altered, we will replace it or refund the money.

If a gown needs to be reordered due to changing size between the time of order and the wear date, we will allow the new gown to be ordered at cost including any shipping and rush fees if the original gown has been paid for in full.  The original gown will be the property of the purchaser.

Pregnancy is an absolutely unpredicatable weight event.  We do not guarantee dress size when a bridesmaid or bride is pregnant when sized or becomes pregnant after the gown is ordered.  We will do whatever possible to make the dress fit, but there will be extra costs involved. Please let us know up-front if you are pregnant or are trying to get pregnant.
