DO YOU TAKE ORDERS ON-LINE?
While I do not have a place on my web-site for you to order, you may either e-mail me at bridal_elegance@verizon.net or call Linda at (724)465-0304. You should be able to order anything that can be seen through the web-sites listed under my Companies Page. You can pay with a credit card over the phone. I prefer to talk personally to a person to be sure we are ordering the right size, color, and item. On-line colors can be misleading. We have actual color swatches in the store. Most orders take between 3 and 4 months. Items that are in-stock at the warehouse can usually be received in a week. Some items offer Rush Shipping for an additional cost. You will need to call for pricing. I can mail the garment to you after we receive it.
We will give you a confirmation # presented by the manufacturing company itself. We guarantee that you are purchasing exactly what you think you are purchasing. You will not receive a copy.
DO YOU RECOMMEND ORDERING FROM WEB-SITES OFFERING ITEMS AT HUGE DISCOUNTS FROM A STORE'S COST?
Not Usually!
-Sometimes internet sites do not deliver even though they have already taken your money. This past prom season, I had two girls having to buy something at the last minute because they never received an item that was ordered over the internet. I don't know if they were ever able to get their money back.
-Internet sites do not provide custom measuring or personal customer service. They do not steam the dress or make sure that the alterations are done correctly. The colors seen on-line are usually not accurate. You will not know what the gown is made of. For example, is it a very thin satin that wrinkles by the mere touch? Does it have a lining? Will you need to buy an extra slip or crinolin?
-You need to be very careful about ordering from web-sites advertising as selling the same garment at half-price of what it is being sold for in a store. I have looked at several of these web-sites. Sometimes they are selling discontinued items. This is fine, but their size and color selection is going to be limited. If you see a gown that looks exactly the same as a gown in a manufacturing company's web-site or catalog, check to see if the on-line store also has a brick and mortar store connected to it. Most of the US bridal manufacturing companies do not sell to on-line only stores. On-line only stores may have the same pictures as the bridal company, but they are most likely copies. If we are allowed to quote a price on-line, we are usually given a minimum retail price to quote. Therefore, these "half-price" companies are either not selling as a bonafide retailer carrying that line, or they are breaking their contract and could be cut off at any time, or worse, they are selling copies that are most likely made with lower quality materials.
-If you are more concerned about the price than receiving a quality product and personalized service, then go ahead and order off of the internet. If you want a store where you know what you are buying and know that the owner is going to do her best to see that you are satisfied with your purchase, then come to Fleming's Bridal Elegance.
-If you want to know if an on-line store is selling an item legitimately, call the manufacturing company and ask them.
